Adventures in Unschooling

Chicken said, “Cluck!”

Posted on: March 23, 2009

dsc04586I just love this book. I borrowed it from the library but it is making it to my list of favorite books. The story is simple but very cute and the illustrations are beautiful. It looks very much like a place I would love to live!

The kids are really liking the story too. So we made our own little bird puppets for playing with and for reading along.

They are made with popsicle sticks, paint, coloured feathers, googly eyes, a bit of cardstock and a hot glue gun.

Here are our fuzzy little “chickens” :

We also did another series of activities using these fake felt balls. We sorted them by size, by colour and counted them.

These little things sure make for hours of fun and learning. They are also what I used to decorate my mobile from a previous post.
