Adventures in Unschooling

Hula la!

Posted on: June 25, 2009

I had such a great evening last night. My friend L came over last night before taking off for a summer program for her Waldorf schooling.

We made pitas from scratch as well as red pepper hummus and some nice veggies. Then we ate on a blanket out in my yard pic nic style.

We also cut out the fabric for our bambolettas and then L made us all a special surprise. She made the boys and I some Hula Hoops! See below:

L teaches Joel how to use the hoop.

Mom and L give it a go:

Trey and Joel have more failed attempts.

So we make up new games to play with the hoops.

It was a good evening and thanks so much for getting some action shots. I came home and made one for me and Kevin and we spent another evening hooping as the sun went down!

Awww…that’s the stuff that dreams are made of. LOL.

It is a lot more fun than you’d expect. Remember how my Kevin didn’t want to do it but he ended up having just as much as we did. Ha ha ha.

Good times.

Looks like you had a blast!
