Oh wow.
I have been feeling awful for the last few days (before that I was just feeling poor) and so we have been watching more movies and haven’t had as much fun and games as usual.
But I still found time to do at least one special activity each day. Yesterday we made a road map on a large piece of cardboard I had found. I drew the outlines and they coloured it. The intent was for them to play cars on it but they haven’t used it for that even once. Doesn’t matter. It’ll keep for a while.
On Thursday I was talking to my husband about how I was wanting some art for my bedroom since I had recently bought (using a gift card) all sorts of colourful goodies from IKEA that really seemed out of place. He came up with the idea of creating an abstract work of art for our room and that the whole family could paint it. I thought that was brilliant so we headed to the art store and I picked up a canvas and a few new brushes and some more paint to match the colours in my room.
We got around to doing it this morning and here is the outcome:

Alright, I’m glad you found cardboard and shared the outcome. Sorry to hear that you’re still under the weather but I’m glad you’re still having fun.
I’m not sure if you’ve been over to Krista’s site, but she’s been on a roll the past 10 days. She’s been sharing her thoughts and parts of a book on NVC. I thought you might like it, and the chance to win a book. http://this-inspired-life.blogspot.com/
